Bagi saya pribadi, tentunya merasa bosan kalau setiap menghidupkan komputer selalu dipaksakan untuk memilih diantara kedua OS (Operating System) yang terinstall di HDD yang akan saya gunakan. Dikarenakan OS yang menumpang tadi telah saya hapus, jelas tidak memiliki fungsi lagi, jadi buat apa harus memakai dual boot. :)
Caranya cukup mudah, yaitu:
- Klik kanan "Start > Explore"
- Setelah masuk Explore, pilih menu "Tools > Folder Options > View"
- Masih di menu View, klik untuk mengaktifkan "Show hidden files and folders"
- Hilangkan checklist pada "Hide protected operating system files (Recomended)", jika ada "Warning" klik "Yes" kemudian "Apply > Ok"
- Masuk ke folder "C:"
- Pilih dan buka file "boot.ini"
- Anda akan melihat isi yang tertera seperti dibawah ini:
[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
C:\wubildr.mbr = "Ubuntu" - Pada isi file "boot.ini" tadi, anda cukup menghapus baris berikut:
C:\wubildr.mbr = "Ubuntu"
- Setelah dihapus, klik "File > Save > Exit"
Jika sudah selesai, anda tinggal mencobanya dengan mereboot PC anda.
